[panel panel-style="transparent" title="City%20Advisory%20Services" link-text="Show%20All" title-size="18px" separator-color="primary-light" separator-size="1px"]Each metro is assigned a City Advisor who is responsible for landing the work of the CSP in the cities. The City Advisor acts as the entry point for all support from the CSP, they act as the facilitators and the monitors of the implementation of all support services under programme . The National Treasury has cross-department teams assigned to work with each metro doing its core business of budget analyses and financial reforms and financial performance as well as on sector-focussed performance example water and electricity. The CSP City Advisors form part of these NT team and bring additional metro-focussed insight and intelligence to the work of the National Treasury. Each metro has an approved City Support Implementation Plan (CSIP) that sets out the agreed support areas for the city.

What is city advisory services in support of city transformation agenda?
  • Insight/intelligence into city to target support towards transformation on city-specific issues
  • Relationships to refine and land support (CSP & other)
  • Intergovernmental coordination, incl. NT & sector depts
  • CSIP & CSP project delivery, oversight, reporting
  • Be a trusted advisor to the City

The service includes 3 functions, being:  

  1. CSIP Planning, Monitoring and Reporting
  2. CSIP Implementation & Institutionalisation Coordination
  3. City Strategic Support & Facilitation
